这段歌词是《角斗士》配乐的另一位合作者Lisa Gerrard，也是这段音乐吟唱者的自创语言。根据她的讲述，她很早就自创了这门语言，在12岁的时候就觉得用这样的语言唱歌便能够和上帝对话。

而作曲Hans Zimmer在谈到在这段音乐创作时也希望来点不一样的东西，取代以前常用的“啦啦啦”或者“姆姆姆”。
